ABOUT ME
PROFESSIONAL ARTIST BASED IN THE U.K

Hi, I’m Nicole. I’m a pet portrait artist based in the UK, and I specialise in hand drawn coloured and graphite pencil portraits of pets.
Where It All Started
It all started with a gift for my partner's dad. I drew a portrait of his sweet golden retriever, and his reaction was priceless. That gave me the boost I needed to keep going.
After that, I started making more portraits as gifts for family and friends, including some of Ronny's friends, and they loved them. During this time, I was trying to find work in the art and animal field, and after getting rejection after rejection, I decided to turn my passion for animals and art into a career.
And that’s how my small business started!

My Journey
I studied Fine Art at college before going on to university, where I graduated with a degree in Fine Art. I’ve always loved making things and experimenting with different types of art, but pet portraits were what really stuck.
I love pets and how much personality they have. They’re cute, fluffy and full of character, so getting to spend my days drawing them really is a dream come true.
One of my favourite parts is watching each portrait come together, blending the colours, building up the fur and adding all the little details. I especially love drawing the eyes and capturing those little things that make each pet recognisable to the people who know and love them.
Meet Ronny

Ronny is a huge part of why I love this so much.
He’s a cheeky, cuddly and very stubborn Beagle who steals socks and slippers and has the best puppy eyes when he wants food. He’s my sleepy studio assistant, occasionally watching me work and helping me unpack materials I ordered for my studio.
I can’t imagine my life without him. Having Ronny has shown me just how much a pet can become part of your life.

Creating Meaningful Portraits
I’ve also had the chance to draw pets who have sadly passed away. Those portraits can be difficult, but knowing that someone has trusted me to draw a pet who meant so much to them is something I really value. I know how much our pets mean to us, and being able to create something that keeps their memory alive is really special to me.
